Academy for Lifelong Learning

RSVP’s Lifelong Learning Academy provides new opportunities each season for keep the mind active. From crafting to history to music, classes are many and varied.

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) reports that challenging yourself to learn new skills might benefit your brain. Participants in a study generally did well learning new tasks and could still do them well after several years had passed. The NIH says that learning might help the brain adapt to compensate for changes caused by aging.

If you are a RSVP member, check your mail next month for a newsletter with the new summer class schedule. If you’re not an RSVP member, it’s not hard to become one. Simply call us and volunteer – then you’ll have first opportunity to sign up for classes, fun day trips and more.
